Luis joined Shockwave Medical in August 2023. He is responsible for building and driving the organization’s operational functions and delivering technology capabilities, while implementing continuous improvement processes to encourage sustainable growth. This includes leading the following organizational functions: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Supply Management, Operational Excellence, Enterprise Facilities, Informational Technologies functions.
Luis came to us from Medtronic, where he held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility since 2011, including most recently Vice President of R&D Neurovascular Business and Vice President of Operations for the Brain Group of Businesses.
Luis has over 24 years of experience in medical devices in roles covering Operations, Quality and R&D in Guidant, Boston Scientific and Medtronic prior to joining Shockwave Medical. His experience also spans across various business areas including Neurovascular, Spine, ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat), Cardiovascular and Cardiac Rhythm Management.
Luis earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.
