Paul Higginbottom

Paul Higginbottom serves as the Vice President of Shockwave Medical International. He joined Shockwave Medical in 2021 to lead the company transition from a distribution model to direct sales in the UK and France, and eventually DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), and India.
He is responsible for all Shockwave Intravascular Lithotripsy activities across direct markets in Europe, as well as distribution markets throughout South America and the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to joining Shockwave, Paul held leadership roles at AstraZeneca and Sanofi before transitioning into the medical device sector with Boston Scientific in 2011. There, he led teams in both the UK and EMEA, with a particular focus on complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) solutions.
