Patrick Stephens
VP, Global Research, Technology & Development
As VP of global research, technology and development, Pat oversees our PMO, R&D and Regulatory teams, executing strategies to support our innovation and compliance goals. Pat joined as Shockwave Medical in 2018 as Vice President of Research & Development. Pat came to Shockwave from Endologix where he was VP of R&D. Prior to this, Pat served in other roles of increasing responsibility at Trivascular, most recently as VP of Product Development.
Patrick has more than 30 years of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of medical devices from roles at Medtronic, Boston Scientific and W.L. Gore.
Patrick earned his MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
